Murder of the Belvedere Eye Archived Soon
Edgar "Street Cat" Rummy is called away from a cold glass of river-cooled ale to investigate the death of the empire's best seeress, the Belvedere Eye.
Murder of the Belvedere Eye will be archived through the next few weeks in May, starting May 16th. This means that it is the last chance for free subscribers to read it, unless you email me on the side and ask for a copy, of course, haha. If you are a paid subscriber, no worries. You can read everything I’ve ever posted on here!
If you feel like subscribing, please do! I’ve got new work coming out every Saturday.
Make sure to read Murder of the Belvedere Eye if you have not! It’s a quick to read crime/ fantasy novelette.

Murder of the Belvedere Eye
A tall man in a red summer cape walked through the estate garden. A silver circlet rested on his brow. He stopped and leaned over so that his assistant, a fair blonde woman, could wipe his forehead with a cloth.
It’s hard to believe six months have passed since I put this one out there. Please give me a pass on the AI puke- I had not come to my conclusive resolution that the generated slop should be contained to lesser things. AI was not used in the writing of this or any of my stories published in the past two years, other than for spell checking. (What about before then? Story for another time, perhaps. Just know everything you can access right now is all me.)
If you’d like to read my opinion on AI art, here you go:
A Picture Speaks 1000 Words in Multiple Dimensions
I am confronted with a piece of production that I never thought much about. The art that is delivered alongside the written word. I work daily in type, in font, in key strokes on the keyboard.
If you haven’t heard, I’ve got a new series coming out on May 17th, When Moonlight Falls. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it!
My series Keeper of the Shade will wrap up this weekend. Give it a read if you want more fantasy action! This one has a great ending, if I do say so myself.
And finally, City Lady Country Killer, a story I love for its off-beat hard edge, will be archived this July. So if fantasy isn’t your thing, give this one a look:
Intro
The weather vane screamed, twisting in the summer wind. Beneath it was a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a living area, and me, holding a glass of whiskeyed ice.
I’ve got some sci-fi pieces in the trunk. I’m thinking about releasing one of those next. One is a revenge story, similar to Heavy Bombardment, and another is an apocalyptic thriller that has a unique voice. I’m leaning towards the apocalypse myself.
