Lilly’s screaming joined Nova’s as Jack left them, turned the corner, and ran head-first into a group of medic bots. The sound of the two women was a wailing harmony, joined by the bass of the robot fans, and the soprano-pitched squealing of metal being torn like stiff cardboard. Jack was glad Lilly was out of sight.
